Guide

How SIM and eSIM work for education.

Students and young travelers arrive in a new country and must reach the school, the host family, and home on day one. Schools and programs can send the data before the flight, with the arrival guide.

01

Where the offer meets the traveler

In the pre-arrival or pre-departure pack, at the airport welcome point, at the welcome desk and the orientation, and with the leader of a school trip.

02

SIM pack or eSIM

A one-time code goes out before the flight for phones with eSIM. SIM packs wait at the welcome desk or the orientation, or with the trip leader, for phones with only a SIM slot.

03

Who pays

A school can resell the plan, include it in the program fee, or buy it at a partner price for each student. A long stay gets a new eSIM for each further 30 days, until a local line.

04

What to check

The code of a student under 18 goes to a parent or a group leader, never to the student. Student data on a school trip needs a parent opt-in. Some countries ask for an ID check before a SIM sale.
