Labelled SIM packs for every traveler on a group departure

Turn the departure list into one order: a labelled SIM pack or an eSIM voucher for each traveler.

Short answer: A group departure needs one order, not a purchase for each traveler. The departure list sets the plan, each traveler gets a labelled pack or a voucher, and the guide carries spares for late changes.

  • One labelled pack per traveler
  • Matched to the itinerary
  • Spare packs for the guide
The flow

One departure list in. One labelled pack per traveler out.

How a group departure gets its data: the list, the order, the welcome meeting, and the spares. Pick a step to see it.

01 / Step

Send the departure list

Send the names, the itinerary countries, and the dates three weeks before departure. Mark the travelers whose phone supports eSIM.

How to run it.

01Set up

  • Agree the plans for your main itineraries with the RoamWorks team.
  • Add a phone question to the booking form: unlocked, SIM slot, or eSIM.
  • Set the spare packs for each departure, for example two for each guide.

02For each departure

  • Send the departure list three weeks before departure.
  • Check the labels against the list when the packs arrive.
  • Put each pack in the welcome documents.

03On the trip

  • The guide checks each phone at the welcome meeting.
  • The guide hands a spare pack to a late booking or after a failed eSIM install.
  • The guide notes each spare that is used.

04Support

  • Each pack holds the install card.
  • Choose the support split: the guide answers first, and RoamWorks handles activation.

Good to know
  • Check that each phone is unlocked before the pack goes in the welcome documents.
  • Agree the rules for late bookings, no-shows, and spare packs before the season.
  • Never print the eSIM QR. An eSIM traveler gets a one-time voucher by email.
  • The mobile hotspot is a second option for a guide whose group has several devices.

Can data be part of the package price?

Yes. Add the plan as a line in the package, or sell it as an extra. You set the retail price.

What if a traveler books late?

The guide hands over a spare pack, or the traveler gets an eSIM voucher by email before departure.

Who labels the packs?

The packs arrive labelled from the departure list. Check the labels against the list before the welcome documents go out.

What happens to unused packs?

The partner agreement sets the terms. Each pack shows the last date to activate it, so a spare can go on the next departure before that date.
