SIM and eSIM for study abroad and language schools

Sell eSIM data next to the airport transfer, and keep RoamWorks SIM packs at reception. Students land with data.

Short answer: The student adds an eSIM voucher to the course extras, and the one-time code goes out with the pre-arrival email. Reception keeps SIM packs for phones without eSIM, junior groups get labelled packs through the group leader, and a course longer than 30 days gets a new eSIM for each further period.

  • Course extras and reception
  • eSIM vouchers and SIM packs
  • A new eSIM every 30 days
The flow

Data from the airport to the first class.

Four moments to add data to a course: the booking, the welcome day, the junior group, and the semester. Pick one to see it.

01 / Step

Pre-arrival pack

Offer data next to the airport transfer when the student books. The one-time code goes out with the pre-arrival email, so the student installs before the flight.

Does it replace a local phone number?

No. The plan is data only. A student who needs a local number for forms or a bank still gets a local line. The plan covers the weeks before it.

What about courses longer than 30 days?

Start with a 30-day eSIM. Each further 30 days is a new eSIM, with no limit on the number. The student installs the next one before the current plan ends.

Can parents buy for a student under 18?

Yes. The code goes to the parent or the group leader, not to the student. Follow your phone rules for junior courses and the consent rules of each market.

What if the phone is locked?

A locked phone does not accept a SIM pack or an eSIM from another network. Check the phone before sale, and point the student to the school Wi-Fi.
