Travel data for long stays, with a new eSIM every 30 days

A new 30-day eSIM for each period of a semester, a ship crew contract, or a long assignment.

Short answer: A long stay starts with one 30-day eSIM and adds a new one for each further period. The first is booked with the stay, a reminder comes before each period ends, and the eSIMs stop when the stay ends or the local line takes over.

  • Semesters, crew contracts, assignments
  • A new eSIM every 30 days
  • No limit on the number
The flow

One eSIM for the first 30 days. A new one for each period after it.

Four steps from the booking to the last period. Pick one to see it.

01 / Step

Book the first period

The student books a 30-day eSIM with the course. The length of the stay sets how many eSIMs follow, so the plan is clear from the start.

How to run it.

01Set up

  • Match the stay to the 30-day plan for the country or the region.
  • Count one eSIM for each 30 days of the stay. There is no limit on the number.
  • Decide who buys the next eSIM: the student, the family, or the employer.

02Each period

  • Send a reminder three days before each plan ends, only to people who bought a plan, with an opt-out.
  • The traveler installs the new eSIM before the current plan ends, so the phone stays online.
  • Match the last eSIM to the end of the stay.

03The local line

  • The plan is data only, with no local number.
  • A student who needs a number for forms or a bank gets a local line.
  • Stop the new eSIMs when the local line takes over.

04Ship crew and assignments

  • Order a new eSIM for each period for the team, on one invoice.
  • Crew use the plan ashore on their own phones. At sea, the ship Wi-Fi covers them.
  • Keep a crew plan apart from recruitment and placement fees.
Measure

Three numbers to review in a pilot.

  1. New eSIMs per long-stay traveler
  2. Installs before departure
  3. Stays covered to the last day
