eSIM for school trips, with codes to parents

Ask parents to opt in, send each code to the parent, give every trip leader data, and pack labelled SIM packs.

Short answer: A school trip with data starts with a parent opt-in and keeps the trip leader's phone as the contact. The school asks, sends the codes to the parents, packs for the trip leader, and keeps the parents updated through the leader.

  • Parents opt in
  • Codes never to students
  • Spares with the trip leader
The flow

Parents opt in, and trip leaders stay reachable.

Four steps from the trip letter to the trip. Pick one to see it.

01 / Step

Ask in the trip letter

The trip letter asks each parent to opt in, with no pre-ticked box. The answer goes on the trip list.

Does every student need a plan?

No. The trip leader's phone is the contact. A student gets data only when a parent opts in.

Who installs the eSIM?

The parent, at home on Wi-Fi, before the trip. The code never goes to the student.

What if a phone has no eSIM?

The trip leader hands out a labelled SIM pack on departure day. A locked phone gets neither.

Can a student call home?

The plan is data only, so calls and messages go through apps. Your school phone rules decide when a student may use a phone.
